We went to one of the seasonal events at vanaqua.org, and overall it was a nice time, just not something I’d call amazing. The decorations were cute and the extra activities were fun, especially for kids. I’ll admit I felt a little embarrassed because I got confused about where we were supposed to go at one point and held up our group for a minute, but the staff were nice about it.
It did feel crowded, though, and a few parts seemed rushed or not explained super clearly. For the price, I kind of expected a bit more to be included. Still, it was a decent day out and a fun change from a regular visit, but I’m not sure I’d pay for every special event they put on.

I checked vanaqua.org before visiting it was straightforward. If you’re planning a trip, I’d definitely recommend using the site first because the hours, ticket info, and location details are easy to find. It worked fine on my phone too, which was helpful while I was out. A few pages felt a little crowded and I had to scroll around more than I expected, but nothing was confusing enough to be frustrating. Overall, it’s a useful site for getting the basics sorted before you go.

I went with my family and really appreciated that there were plenty of spots to sit when we needed a quick break. The whole visit felt easy and straightforward, which made it more relaxing for everyone. A few benches near the main areas were busy, but after walking around a bit we were always able to find a place to rest. The rest areas were clean enough too. It would be nice if they added a few more seats near the popular tanks, but overall it was a comfortable visit.

We went on a weekend, so I was expecting it to be packed, and yeah, there were a lot of people. Like, a lot. Some areas near the tanks got crowded, and that was annoying because people kept bunching up in the same spots. It felt crowded, then it would clear, then it felt crowded again. That said, the flow was better than I expected and we didn’t feel completely stuck the whole time. It was still easy to walk around and enjoy, even if the crowds got a little frustrating here and there.

The hands-on stuff was actually really cool, which I appreciated. I just wish the rest of the experience had been a little smoother, to be honest.

We went to the aquarium last weekend, the location was convenient. Parking was close by, too, although it took us a few minutes, to actually find an open spot. Overall, it wasn’t bad at all, and getting in and out, was really simple.

Had a good day learning alongside the kids. It felt nice to spend time doing something meaningful together, i think helping kids stay curious and grow is one of those things that really matters

We stopped into the gift shop after our visit and it was really cute. They had a nice mix of stuff, and I ended up grabbing a hoodie and a mug. The hoodie felt soft without being too thick, and I liked that the mug had a clean design instead of being overly busy. Just a nice little spot to pick up a souvenir.

The staff seemed kind, and the animals looked really well cared for. Just had a good feeling about the place, like... everything seemed calm and taken care of

I checked the show times on Vancouver Aquarium and booked from there, super easy!! The presentation was really good... not too long, easy to follow, and just fun to watch!!! The staff were great too, they explained everything in a really lively way and somehow kept everyone interested, even the kids!! The animals looked well cared for, which I really appreciated. Overall, it was such a nice visit, and the show was definitely the highlight for me!!!

I’m not sure if it’s always like this, but everything seemed really clean when I was there, even the washrooms. Definitely a nice job overall.

I checked vanaqua before we went so I could get an idea of the food situation, that helped a lot. The cafe had a decent mix for both kids and adults, like sandwiches, snacks, coffee, and other drinks. I kind of assumed from the way the info was presented online that it would be basic, but the food was actually better than I expected for an aquarium. Not amazing or anything, but definitely good enough. The prices were a bit high, though I figured that would be the case at a place like this. The lines moved at a reasonable pace when we were there. I do wish they had a few more lighter options, but overall we were happy with it...

Got the annual pass through Vancouver Aquarium and setup was simple. Have taken my kids a bunch of times now and never had a problem getting in.

Really like having the membership because we don’t feel like we have to make a whole day of it. Can just stop by for an hour, see the jellyfish and sea otters, then head out.

Honestly paid for itself quickly. Been a good experience overall, and would definitely renew again.

We went to Vanaqua on a weekend, and the hours were decent enough as long as you don’t leave everything to the last minute. Booking a time slot online was actually painless, which was a nice surprise, but the later slots disappeared quicker than I expected. We got in without much of a wait, so I’ll give them credit for keeping things moving. A few more evening hours would make it feel a little less like you’re scheduling a doctor’s appointment, but overall it worked out fine.

I really liked visiting. They help rescued sea animals and actually seem to care about conservation, which makes the whole experience feel meaningful. How can you not appreciate that?? It definitely felt worth the trip.

The ticket prices felt fair to me!! I didn’t feel like I was overpaying or anything... Overall, I’d say it was worth it!!!

The restrooms were clean and really easy to find, which was a nice plus. I also appreciated the baby changing station, it definitely came in handy. Worth keeping in mind if you’re visiting with little ones.

I had a good feeling about this place, and I’m glad I trusted my gut. The exhibits were really cool, and the fish were awesome to see up close. The sea lions were definitely a highlight too. Overall, it was a really fun experience

We had a really nice time here. The kids were immediately into it, which always makes the whole outing feel easier. For me, it felt like one of those places where you don’t have to overthink the visit, just show up, let the kids enjoy themselves, and everyone leaves happy
